My review of The Lab went up on LA.com today. The new gastropub is part of USC's complex of new hospitality centers, bars and restaurants as the area around the campus is cleaned up. The Lab, for instance, used to be a Sizzler, but now you can't even find a trace of the buffet left in the cleaned-up interior--though maybe if you squint just right at the long, white-tiled bar...
