While I was down in Orange County last month for the OCeanfront Shakeoff, I learned about the Newport Beach Food and Wine Festival, which is hosted every year at the Balboa Bay Club and Resort right in the heart of Newport Beach.This year features wine-tastings highlighting offbeat regions like Washington State and France's Loire Valley, as well as gala dinners, seafood by the bay, and all manner of gourmet gallivanting. It seemed like the perfect fit for one of The Rundown's "Weekend Runaways."
