LowFares: Mendoza's Fine Wine and Extreme Adventure

This week on LowFares is Argentina week, with my guide to Buenos Aires, a post on how to get out of the city for a day of cowboy-ing on an estancia, or ranch as we'd call it, and finally, a feature on the extreme sports and gourmet wine-tasting to be enjoyed in Argentina's gateway to the Andes: Mendoza.

To be truthful, this article is kind of just like a second city guide for the week, complete with hotel, restaurant and activities listings. However, it highlights the adventures for which Mendoza is known; namely, wine and outdoor adventure.

So enjoy the tips on wineries and wine-tastings, as well as the suggestions of outdoor companies from which to choose your activity itinerary, and then consult the hotels to figure out which boutique option might be best for you...whether it's to sleep off your wine hangover or to rest your weary muscles.
