Los Angeles Confidential: The Parish


One of the most well-reviewed restaurants in Venice is Tasting Kitchen on Abbot Kinney. The chef there, Casey Lane, is what you would call a culinary wunderkind - under 30, energetic and always experimenting.

Changing gears (and zip codes) a bit, he's opened a new gastropub in Downtown in a historic flatiron-shaped building where he's serving tantalizing pub grub like fried oyster poutine, and piping-hot bone marrow you can "luge" down the bone with a glass of Pedro Ximenez sherry.
