After a couple days in Ho Chi Minh City and a quick beach trip to Da Nang, I headed to the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi.
While there, I stayed at a beautiful Intercontinental property on Westlake, a vast freshwater lake in the city that is surrounded by some of the area's most well-to-do neighborhoods.
The hotel itself was very nice, if a bit removed from the historical city center, but taxis were cheap and plentiful, so it was easy to get around, and the lake views were stunning.
