Los Angeles Confidential Magazine: High Tea in Los Angeles

For my April food feature in LA Confidential, I covered a distinctly non-LA subject, high tea. Or, so I thought. Turns out tons of restaurants and (mostly) hotels in the city offer gorgeous, contemporary twists on this afternoon social event.

As you'll see in the article, I cover everything from Wolfgang Puck's fanciful creations (pictured above) at the Hotel Bel-Air to Jose Andres's molecular gastronomy delights at the SLS and the Peninsula Beverly Hills' sumptuous "Imperial Tea," complete with champagne and a special take-home cake.

So put on your best white gloves, start thinking about whether you want Darjeeling or Roiboos, and get ready for tea!
